This is the Day I Die

Sabra GilbertComment
Wouldn't it be crazy if you opened your planner one day and realized that someone had written in the day that you die?

If suddenly you knew that the only days you had left were right in this planner.
Maybe it is only 5. Maybe its 364.

That's when people start worrying about bucket lists and getting everything done that they want to, but is there really a point in rushing to jump out of airplanes and write a novel.

Aren't you going to wish you had spent more time with your family or loved ones, instead of worrying about the next Organic Chem test or how messy your room was?

Aren't you going to wish you had spent more time on the things that matter instead of the things that don't?

Aren't you going to wish that you had fullfilled the things that God wants you to accomplish for Him instead of your own selfish goals that only benefit you?

Just a random thought for today.

No I am not dying, nor do I know when I am going to die.

But it was just a thought, that if you only had the days in your planner, What would fill it up?

The things that you are doing now?
Or things that truly matter in life?

Getting Married Young

What?! Is this an Engagement photo? I THINK IT IS!

Some people don't understand why Simeon and I want to get married while still in school.
They ask why we don't wait til we graduate first.

I ask what is the difference between getting married this May or next?
We already decided a while ago we wanted to get married, so why not get married as soon as we want? Why should we wait for another year?

People say to save money in college.
Well aren't we saving money together in the long run by starting our life together now, instead of paying separately for 2 apartments and 2 phone bills and 2 of everything else.

People wonder if we are really ready to commit to one another forever.
We have survived two years of long distance already, I think if we had decided that we couldn't live with each other forever, wouldn't we have already figured that out?

People thing we are too young to make that decision.
Well, that just means we get to spend more of our lives together. People used to get married a lot younger than we are now.

I guess I don't know why people expect these things to stand in our way AFTER we have already made the decision to get married. I'm excited to spend the rest of my life with Simeon.

Isn't there a quote about once you decide you want to be with someone forever, you want that forever to start right now?
