How Do You Pick One Dream?

People always make it sound like following your dreams should be so easy. That one path with just present itself for you and you should follow it without question. Does no one else run into the issue of having more than one dream? I see people who have had one passion since they were little and truely excell in it, did I miss the class in how to have only one passion?

I dream of. . . running my own horse breeding ranch. of caring for tigers. of being a stay at home mom. of turning blogging into a career. of becoming a wonderful professional photographer. of having a wildlife sanctuary.

How can I choose only one thing to truely pursue? I love horses, writing, tigers, photography, the thought of raising my children, and protecting animals.

In college we are told to explore and find what we are most passionate about. But it can only be one thing. One major. One focus. Everything you do has to be to acheive that dream job that you are here to learn for.

Is it just me or does the world want to mush people into one catagory and not let anytone leave it.

You can't be an extroverted introvert.

You can't love to read and write AND play sports.

You can't love being in Drama and be in sports.

You can't be a horse person who lives in town.

But that is all getting off topic.

How are we supposed to choose only one thing to be passionate about in our lives? Why is it so hard to fit everything you love into your life in one form or another?

Life is full of so many choices to make. And there are so many twists and turns in the road to get to where-ever God is sending me. I guess it's a really good thing that He has an idea of where I should be going, because right now I don't have a clue.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future."
