Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
I've never really known what that meant until last night when I was listening to a speaker during Joshua Team who was talking about memorizing scripture. I know that sounds like a random time for that phrase to come up, but he was talking about how sometimes he can get cocky about having so much scripture memorized. And when pride starts to take over that means that you aren't doing these things for the right reason anymore.
And then it hit me.
This blog started as a way that I was hoping I would spread a lot of different things about me, including my faith, but I haven't really done that much.
So I'm checking myself before I completely wreck myself.
I want to share my testimony with all of you. I also want to share my adventures going through Joshua Team which I am hoping will prepare me to be a bible study leader next year and learn to share my faith more often with people.
The goal this week is to throw a pizza party in our dorm. We shall see how this goes!
Hopefully, from now on I will remember to honor God in everything that I do. From the mundane to to extreme, I shouldn't be doing it only for me.
