Becoming Sabra Gilbert

Spring Break Beauty | Part 1

I can't believe that Spring Break was seriously a month ago! Out of the four years that I have been a college student, I actually did the "spring break thang" and went on a vacation where I wasn't anywhere near home, there was no such thing as work, and school didn't exist for 9 days. It was pure bliss. Simeon and I packed up the Durango and spent 10 hours altitude climbing it over to Colorado, where we got to stay with my grandparents for 5 days. Western South Dakota and Colorado are nothing at all like where I live. The hills, the mountains, the 30 degree warmer weather. It made for a wonderful vacation and about 3 entire memory cards full of pictures. I don't think I have been that relaxed since last summer.

Since we spent most of our trip down to Colorado under the shadow of night (or under a blanket pretending it was night so I could just sleep the car ride away), there aren't many pictures of the way down there. But these are a few of my favorites. All taken out the window of the car of course, because there was nothing going to stop this girl from speeding down to see her grandparents!

Now one of my favorites from the first day is a picture of the town we were staying in from the park in the middle of town. Loveland, CO is the place to be my friends!

The lake was crystal clear and I just adored being able to see the Rocky mountains in the background every day. We would be driving, oh there are the mountains. Taking the dogs for a walk. mountains! Just wonderful.
