Valentine's Day Date

I don't post a whole lot about my personal life. I mean to change that but I've always found it so awkward to talk about myself the majority of the time. So I'm going to talk about my Valentine's day date, cause if I don't just jump into talking about random things, I'll never do it and what's more personal than Valentine's Day right? I feel like how people react to the holiday says a lot about who they are.

Simeon and I had an insanely down to earth Valentine's Day date. We stayed in all day, in our Pjs, cuddling and watching movies. We picked up a DQ heart ice cream cake the night before and made a beautiful and delicious pizza with a heart of pepperoni. We laughed at Breakfast at Tiffany's and dominating at Super Mario 3D World. Stayed up super late and got to go to bed cuddling.

It was the complete opposite of last year where we dressed up in suits and dresses and had reservations. There was fancy chocolate and a fancy dinner. Stargazing and movie cuddles that all ended at midnight when Simeon went home and I went to bed by myself.

While most people might think that we squandered our first married Valentine's Day, we thought it was perfect. There was no spending unnecessary money, no waiting in lines, no uncomfortable clothes. Just a wonderful day alone with my husband with no worries or other obligations.
